A solitary skeleton sits beside a lava lamp, watching its hypnotic forms rise, dissolve and begin again. Against electric orange and blue, the familiar household object becomes a strange measure of time—warm, nostalgic and endlessly repeating. Lava Lamp reflects on the hours spent waiting for life to change, only to realise that time has been moving all along. Darkly playful and quietly existential, the work places mortality beside a symbol of perpetual motion: the body may stop, but the universe keeps bubbling.
