Ice Skull explores the tension between mortality and expanded awareness. Painted in frozen blues and fractured whites, the skull appears preserved between states—physically silent, yet watchful through the vivid third eye set into its crown. Heavy textures and an earthy circular ground give the work the quality of an unearthed relic, while the stark black cavities pull the viewer back toward the certainty of death. Both talisman and memento mori, Ice Skull suggests that when the body falls away, perception may be the last thing left staring back.
